Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Company Bookkeeper to manage financial records and accounting functions for our construction firm. The ideal candidate will be proficient in accounting software and possess strong organizational skills to ensure accurate financial reporting, account reconciliation, and efficient bookkeeping operations. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our company while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry and record keeping
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero to process transactions
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to verify accuracy of financial data
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Assist with budgeting processes and financial forecasting
- Maintain organized financial records in compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Prepare financial reports for management review and audit purposes
- Support payroll processing and related accounting activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting within the construction industry preferred
- Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and account reconciliation
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare clear reports
- Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial analysis techniques
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Prior experience with construction project accounting is a plus but not required
Pay: $18.68-$23.50 per hour
