Position Summary:
The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) will provide pre and post op care of the patient undergoing minor surgery. The RPN will assist the surgeon during the procedure as well as ensure specimens are correctly labeled and sent to lab. Contribute to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Position Requirements:
- Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Peri-op Certification required
- Recent OR, Peri-op experience preferred
- Flexible working hours
- Ability to function effectively in clinical areas with rapid pace and fast turnover
- Demonstrated reliability, dependability and adaptability
- Demonstrated evidence of recent continuing education
- Good attendance record
