Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plant Operator to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment and machinery essential to our farming and processing activities. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will ensure smooth operations, safety, and efficiency across our facilities.
Duties
- Operate equipment such as loaders, forklifts, and other machinery to support daily processing activities
- Monitor and control plant systems to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting on equipment to prevent downtime
- Assist with loading, unloading, and heavy lifting tasks involving agricultural products and materials
- Operate grain handling systems including pits, elevator legs, and silos
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations to maintain a safe working environment
- Document operational activities, maintenance logs, and safety checks accurately
- Perform general housekeeping throughout the property to ensure the facility is kept safe and clean
- Support the team during peak periods by handling additional duties related to equipment operation and plant functions
- Work in environments that include dusty or loud conditions, variable weather, and working at heights or within confined spaces
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
- Experience working in the oil & gas or agricultural sectors is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail with excellent safety awareness
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving operational needs
- Commitment to safety of oneself and coworkers around them
- Ability to reliably fulfil shift requirements
Qualifications
- Class G license
- AZ/DZ license is an asset

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
