Packaging Line Operator (Craft Brewery)
Strathcona Beer Company is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Packaging Line Operator to join our production team in Vancouver.
This is a hands-on role responsible for operating our Wild Goose canning line while ensuring our beer is packaged safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment, and wants to be part of a collaborative brewery team.
Previous brewery experience is an asset, but we also welcome applicants with experience operating production or packaging equipment in the beverage, food manufacturing, or other manufacturing industries.
What You'll Do
- Operate, monitor and clean the Wild Goose canning line
- Perform quality control checks, including seam inspections
- Complete daily cleaning and sanitation of packaging equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on the canning line and depalletizer
- Clean, inspect and fill kegs
- Monitor packaging material inventory and assist with ordering supplies
- Prepare and organize outgoing shipments
- Maintain a clean, organized brewery floor and warehouse
- Follow food safety, quality assurance and workplace safety procedures
- Work closely with the brewing team to meet production schedules
What We're Looking For
- Experience operating automated production or packaging equipment is preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and an interest in troubleshooting equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) and perform physically active work
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Reliable, organized and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
