Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in semi truck and trailer repair, heavy equipment operation, and industrial maintenance. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trailers and related equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and optimal performance. Candidates with mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various tools are highly encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and diagnostics on trailers and heavy equipment using schematics and technical manuals
- Repair and maintain trailers, including welding, electrical repairs, and mechanical adjustments
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment such as forklifts, etc.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely to move parts or equipment during repairs or maintenance procedures
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Assist in assembly or installation of new trailer components or equipment
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of semi truck and trailer repair and industrial equipment maintenance
- Familiarity with semi trucks, semi trailers, and heavy machinery operation
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment as needed
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills for interacting with clients or team members when necessary
- Prior experience working with air systems or industrial machinery is advantageous
- Candidate must have their own tools.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
