Installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment and fixtures. Conducts basic maintenance activities primarily on machinery and related equipment. Maintains repair and maintenance records. Troubleshoots problems and escalates non-routine and complex issues to senior coworkers. Typically has 0-2 years of experience and works under close supervision.
Principal duties in this position are the maintenance and repair/rebuild of the following:
- Welding machines, including calibration

Cutting torches
-
Small hand tools maintenance - grinders, tank cleaning equipment, etc.

Vehicles maintenance- tire rotation, etc.

Air compressor maintenance and operation
-
Maintenance of the Track equipment
-
Forklift operations
-
Overhead hoists and cranes
-
Trackmobile
-
Stationary Machinery: Drill press, meba saw, band saw, pipe threader, pipe bender, cutoff saw, radial arm drill press, etc.

Requirements for this position are as follows:

JMan Millwright Certificate
The incumbent should be a Journeyman Millwright. Welding skills and WHMIS training would be an asset. Effective communication and organizational skills, strong initiative, and an ability to work well under pressure are also desired.
