Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality meals and maintaining food safety standards. Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and cooking techniques to produce menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience for guests.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
- Participate in training sessions to improve culinary skills and knowledge of food handling practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
- Familiarity with food service operations, meal preparation techniques, and food safety regulations is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment are essential.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn about various cuisines and cooking methods will be highly valued.
