Westwind Counselling is seeking support staff to join our team at our location in Kelowna BC. Westwind is a private counselling service provider, offering treatment in the form of psychotherapy and nutritional counselling to individuals suffering from problems related to disordered eating behaviours. This is a casual position of one or two shifts per week. Shifts can include Monday-Friday 4-11pm and Saturday & Sunday 9-4pm or 4-11pm.
Mature and reliable;
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree or near completion of their degree in Psychology, Social Work, Psychiatric Nursing, or Nursing program, or related field;
Experience in a related field is considered an asset;
Preference will be given to candidates who have an understanding of eating disorders and work from a HAES informed model;
Demonstration of excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and time management skills;
Proven ability to act both independently and as an active member of a professional team;
Display strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills;
Demonstrate commitment to self-development through continuing education;
Have theoretical knowledge and skills applications for working with people from diverse backgrounds;
Valid driver’s license required.

*A Criminal Record Check by the Criminal Records Review Program by the Government of BC, as specified under the Criminal Record Review Act;
*Character references that assure the employee is a person of good character and has the personality, ability and temperament necessary to work with and provide services to the residents;
*A record of the person’s work history and experience;
*Copies of any diplomas, certificates or other evidence of training and skills;
*and evidence of person’s immunizations and tuberculosis test status.
*Holds a current valid first aid and CPR certificate.
