Position Overview:
We are hiring a Door Prehanger to operate door machinery and assist with prehung door production.
This role involves setting up doors in a machine, aligning them correctly and running the process. The machine is straightforward and training is provided.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and align doors in prehung door machines
- Operate door machinery (hinge prep, boring, etc.)
- Rout out hidden/concealed hinges accurately
- Assist with prehung door assembly
- Ensure accuracy before running each door
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work with the team to meet daily production goals
Requirements:
- Prior experience working at a door shop —required
- Experience operating a prehung door machine —required
- Ability to rout out hidden hinges —required
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Reliable and punctual (very important)
- Attention to detail and consistency
- Comfortable with repetitive production work
- Able to lift and handle heavy doorsTeam player
