Location: Fabrication Shop
Schedule: Day Shift or Afternoon Shift | OT Available
We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Fitter to join a busy fabrication shop supporting commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. In this role, you'll read blueprints, fit and assemble structural steel components, operate fabrication equipment, and perform welding as required.

Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings

Lay out, fit, and assemble structural steel components (beams, columns, frames, pedways, etc.)

Cut, drill, bend, roll, and prepare steel using fabrication equipment
-
Tack weld and fit components for final assembly
-
Operate overhead cranes safely
-
Perform MCAW, FCAW, and SMAW welding
-
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy

Follow shop safety procedures and participate in daily toolbox meetings
-
Structural steel fitting experience in a fabrication shop
-
Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
-
Experience with overhead cranes and steel fabrication equipment
-
Welding experience with MCAW (CWB flat position preferred), FCAW, and SMAW
-
Journeyperson or apprentice fitter/welder background
-
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
-
3-month contract with strong potential for permanent hire
