Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Applications Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the technical bridge between our customers, sales team, and engineering department. You will work closely with customers to understand their application requirements, recommend technical solutions, prepare quotations, and provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, building customer relationships, and working in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to understand application requirements and recommend appropriate products or engineered solutions.
- Provide technical support to the sales team before and after the sale.
- Prepare quotations, technical proposals, and product specifications.
- Review customer drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Assist with product selection, sizing, and system design.
- Support project execution by answering technical questions and resolving application issues.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations when required.
- Maintain accurate records within the CRM and ERP systems.
- Stay current on product offerings, industry trends, and competitor technologies.
- Travel occasionally to customer sites, trade shows, or training events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in an applications engineering, technical sales, design engineering, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and industrial equipment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Experience with CAD software is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
