Duties
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and placing orders for supplies.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and guiding patients on medication usage under supervision.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Process prescriptions efficiently using pharmacy software systems.
- Support administrative tasks such as billing, data entry, and filing.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures related to medication handling and storage.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
- Experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not required; relevant training can be provided.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for maintaining precise records.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to healthcare regulations.
This role is vital in supporting the delivery of safe, effective pharmaceutical care while fostering a compassionate environment for patients and their families.
Must speak clearly and able to communicate with at risk populations
Must have 3 YEARS MINIMUM experience in a fast paced community pharmacy with high volumes, and must have 1 year minimum experience with FILLWARE AND MCKESSON PHARMACLIK SOFTWARES AS YOU WILL BE expected to work independently quite quickly.
Must have some experience with front shop and OTC procedures, and be expected to help team members close store with light chore cleaning duties to help foster a clean environment. starting range is negiotable. and potentially for more benefit after 6 months of good performence.
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
