Estimator / Project Coordinator / AutoCAD Technician

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator / Project Coordinator / AutoCAD Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a rewarding career in the specialized field of architectural cladding and building envelope systems.
In this multi-faceted role, you will work closely with our estimating and project management teams, assisting with everything from tender preparation through project completion. The successful candidate will play an important role in preparing competitive bids, producing detailed shop and fabrication drawings, coordinating project documentation, and supporting our senior project managers throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs and assemble complete tender packages.
- Assist with bid submissions and follow up on outstanding quotations.
- Support Project Managers with project coordination throughout the construction lifecycle.
- Prepare and coordinate project submittals.
- Produce shop drawings and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
- Assist with material ordering and procurement.
- Coordinate project documentation and maintain accurate project records.
- Communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and internal team members.
- Provide general estimating and project administration support as required.
Qualifications
- College diploma in Construction Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field and/or a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the construction industry.
- Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD is essential.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in any of the following would be considered a strong asset:
- Architectural cladding systems
- Aluminum Composite Material (ACM)
- Metal siding and rainscreen systems
- Curtain wall, glazing, or building envelope construction
- Point cloud processing and converting point cloud data into AutoCAD drawings
- Construction estimating software
