Job Overview
We are seeking a part time Line Cook/Prep Cook to join Sushi Blossom. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety standards are met, and assisting with menu execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. Starting wage will depend on previous work experience.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
- Assist with menu planning and daily meal preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Handle food safely and adhere to sanitation guidelines
- Assist with plating and presentation of dishes for service
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Skills
- Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Previous restaurant work experience is an asset
- Knowledge of menu planning and food industry standards
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain proper hygiene practices
- Excellent food handling, cooking, and serving skills
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
