POSITION SUMMARY
The Logistics Coordinator plays an important role within the operations team, supporting inventory control, production planning, and supply chain management for both inbound and outbound shipments. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Obtain freight quotes for inbound and outbound shipments and ensure timely turnaround on requests from internal stakeholders.
– Source and negotiate contracts with warehouses, third-party logistics providers, and other supply chain partners across North America.
– Manage and track inventory across multiple storage locations.
– Schedule and monitor shipments; reconcile actual freight charges against quoted rates.
– Liaise with customs brokers to ensure accurate duty assessment and timely clearance of cross-border shipments.
– Coordinate the return and accurate accounting of reusable components and cores.
– Set up and maintain parts records in the inventory system, including part number cross-references, product groupings, and data completion for incomplete records.
– Work closely with production teams to ensure parts and supplies are available to meet manufacturing schedules.
– Organize physical inventory including bin assignments; serve as the primary administrator for parts, BOMs, and finished goods in the ERP system.
– Provide overflow support to the sales team, handling customer inquiries and ensuring requests are addressed promptly.
QUALIFICATIONS
– 1–2 years of experience in inventory management and/or logistics.
– Strong verbal and written communication skills.
– Exceptional attention to detail with a genuine commitment to accuracy.
– Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
