Production Coordinator
Location: Vaughan, ONDepartment: OperationsReports To: Operations Master Scheduler
Position Summary
The Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules, customer requirements, and operational priorities are achieved. Acting as a key liaison between Production, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, and Shipping, the Production Coordinator supports workflow management, production planning, and ERP system accuracy to drive on-time delivery and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily production schedules to support customer delivery requirements.
- Release, prioritize, and track work orders through all stages of production.
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints.
- Maintain accurate production data and transactions within the ERP system.
- Review work orders, routings, and manufacturing documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor production progress and provide regular status updates to Operations Leadership.
- Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, and Shipping to address production issues and support workflow continuity.
- Track material shortages and escalate risks that may impact production schedules or customer deliveries.
- Generate production reports, KPI summaries, and operational metrics for management review.
- Support inventory control activities, work order closures, and production record maintenance.
- Participate in operational meetings and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve production flow, communication, and scheduling effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a production coordination, planning, scheduling, or manufacturing support role.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems is considered a significant asset.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, precision machining, or high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- College diploma or in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field would be considered an asset.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
