The Hockey Outlet is looking for a friendly, motivated, and hockey-minded individual to join our team!
We are looking for someone who has a strong knowledge and passion for hockey, enjoys working with customers, and is eager to learn about hockey equipment, products, and services. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves the game and wants to work in a fun, fast-paced hockey environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service to hockey players and families
- Assist customers with hockey equipment, sticks, skates, accessories, and apparel
- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately
- Answer customer questions and help customers find the right products for their needs
- Receive, organize, and restock inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment
- Assist with skate sharpening and other shop services as training and experience allow
- Learn and develop knowledge of hockey equipment, skate sharpening, and product recommendations
- Perform other general retail and pro shop duties as required
Qualifications
- Hockey knowledge is required — playing experience or a strong understanding of the game and equipment is an asset
- Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset
- Skate sharpening experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working with customers of all ages
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Quick learner with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Comfortable operating a cash register and handling transactions
- Attention to detail and pride in providing quality service
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who loves hockey, enjoys helping people, and wants to continually improve their knowledge and skills. You don't need to know everything on day one we're looking for someone who learns quickly, takes initiative, and is excited to become an expert in hockey retail and pro shop services.
Skate sharpening experience is a major asset, but training may be provided for the right candidate.
