Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Dental Sterilization Technician/office floater to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, maintained, and ready for patient use and that rooms are properly stocked and disinfected between patients. This role is essential in maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Prior experience with medical terminology is a plus, but training will be provided to the right candidate. Responsibilities
- Properly clean, sterilize, and disinfect dental instruments and patient operatories using approved methods and equipment
- Prepare sterilization areas and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Ensure all sterilization procedures comply with OSHA and CDC guidelines
- Assist dental staff by providing sterile instruments during procedures and turning over patient operatories
- Track and document sterilization cycles, maintenance logs, and inventory of supplies
- Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination
- Assist with inventory management of sterilized instruments and supplies
- Adhere to safety standards and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Previous experience in a healthcare or dental setting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Assist in seating patients
- Ability to follow strict sterilization procedures and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
- Must be able to pass background checks and adhere to health and safety regulations

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
