Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons in French that cater to diverse student needs and learning styles.
- Develop comprehensive curriculum plans and lesson materials aligned with standardized test requirements and French standards.
- Utilize various learning technologies to enhance instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
- Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring a respectful, inclusive, and motivating atmosphere for all learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues to refine teaching strategies, share best practices, and develop new instructional resources.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, writing skills, and subject mastery necessary for academic success.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of speaking, writing, reading, and listening in French.
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching high school or adult learners in a classroom setting
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts
- Skilled in lesson planning, curriculum development, and adapting lessons for diverse learning needs, including special education
- Familiarity with learning technology tools that enhance instructional delivery and student engagement
- Effective classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment
- Experience working with students from varied backgrounds and levels of ability, including adult education settings
- Strong writing skills for creating instructional materials, assessments, and feedback reports
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
