Regional Retail Director

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Regional Retail Director to oversee retail operations across a defined territory. This leadership role is responsible for driving sales performance, elevating the customer experience, and ensuring operational excellence across all store locations within the region.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in multi-unit retail management, a passion for people development, and the ability to execute business strategies that deliver measurable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the performance of multiple retail locations within the assigned region, ensuring alignment with company objectives
- Drive sales growth, profitability, and KPI performance across all stores
- Lead, coach, and develop District and Store Managers to build high-performing teams
- Ensure consistent execution of brand standards, visual merchandising, and customer experience across all locations
- Analyze regional performance metrics and implement action plans to address opportunities and risks
- Partner with cross-functional teams including merchandising, marketing, operations, and HR to support business initiatives
- Oversee staffing, workforce planning, and succession strategies within the region
- Manage regional budgets, payroll, and expense control to maximize profitability
- Support new store openings, renovations, and market expansion initiatives
Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of experience in retail, with a minimum of 5 years in a multi-unit leadership role
- Proven track record of driving sales and operational excellence across multiple locations
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
- Excellent business acumen and analytical skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bilingual in English and French (required in the Montreal market)
- Ability to travel frequently within the region
Preferred Profile
- Experience within fashion, apparel, or lifestyle retail
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs, customer behavior, and market trends
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change and scale operations
