Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to execute precise installations and repairs.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems including low voltage wiring, power distribution, lighting, and control panels.
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete wiring tasks, conduit bending, termination, and testing.
- Diagnose electrical issues in industrial settings using schematics and troubleshooting techniques; implement effective solutions promptly.
- Work on renovation projects by upgrading existing electrical systems to meet current codes and safety standards.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate machinery and processes.
- Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to ensure electrical components are integrated seamlessly.
Qualifications
- Valid journeyman/woman electrician license or certification recognized by local authorities.
- Proven experience in industrial electrician roles with a strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, and electrical codes.
- Hands-on experience with low voltage systems, control wiring, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety practices.
- Demonstrated ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical drawings effectively.
- Experience working on renovation projects or within construction environments is highly desirable.
- Additional handyman skills or general maintenance experience is a plus to support diverse project needs.
