Full Job Description
Golden Leaf Grocers is a new Middle Eastern grocery store in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and we are looking for an experienced Halal Butcher to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, bone, and prepare beef, lamb, chicken, and other halal meats.
- Prepare customer orders with accuracy and excellent presentation.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation.
- Properly package, label, and display meat products.
- Keep the butcher department clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Provide friendly customer service and work well with the rest of the team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of butcher experience.
- Experience cutting and preparing halal meats.
- Valid Food Handler Certificate is required.
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to speak Arabic.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
