Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and caring Camp Counselors to create a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children during summer camp sessions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess strong leadership skills, and be committed to fostering a positive camp experience. This role involves supervising campers, leading activities, and supporting their social and emotional development in a dynamic outdoor setting.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children during all camp activities and transitions
- Lead and facilitate a variety of recreational, educational, and creative activities tailored to different age groups
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and fun
- Assist with setting up activities, managing supplies, and maintaining the cleanliness of activity areas
- Support campers in developing social skills, building confidence, and participating actively in camp programs
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and campers to ensure a positive camp experience
- Enforce camp rules and policies consistently to promote safety and good behavior
- Provide tutoring or educational support as needed to enhance campers’ learning experiences
Skills
- Experience or background in tutoring, teaching, or early childhood education is highly desirable
- Proven ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with children, parents, and team members
- Creativity in planning engaging activities that promote learning and fun
- Patience, adaptability, and problem-solving skills to handle diverse situations calmly
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and maintain high energy levels throughout the day
