We are a fast-growing freight brokerage specializing in moving regular, complex, high-value, and time-sensitive shipments across Canada and North America. Our team thrives on speed, accuracy, and problem-solving. We are now looking for a Dispatcher who has experience in 3PL environment with focus on tracking & tracing shipments, sourcing reliable carriers, and ensuring smooth freight movement.
Role Overview
As a Dispatcher and CCR, you will play a key role in connecting freight with the right carriers while ensuring that shipments remain on schedule. This position requires someone who is sharp, quick-thinking, resourceful, and thrives in a high-pressure, multi-tasking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrier Sourcing: Find, qualify, and negotiate with carriers to secure capacity for shipments.
- Tracking & Tracing: Monitor active shipments, provide real-time updates to customers and account managers, and proactively address delays or issues.
- Problem-Solving: Quickly assess situations and make smart decisions to keep freight moving.
- Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between carriers and internal teams, ensuring clear and timely information flow.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of load status, carrier information, and communications.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with carriers to expand our reliable network.
What We’re Looking For
- High IQ & Fast Thinker: Ability to process information quickly and make smart decisions under pressure.
- Multi-Tasker: Comfortable managing multiple shipments, calls, and updates at the same time without losing accuracy.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with carriers and internal staff.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient with TMS platforms (e.g., Ascend, McLeod, etc.), load boards, and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
- Organized & Detail-Oriented: Able to track multiple shipments and deadlines with precision.
- Experience: 1–3 years in freight brokerage, dispatching, or logistics preferred, but sharp, motivated individuals with transferable skills will be considered.
