Overview
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Server/Bartender to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and experience in food service environments. Prior knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS, excellent time management, and a commitment to food safety are essential for success in this position.
This is not an entry serving position. I need an experienced server who can handle themselves in a very busy environment
Responsibilities
- Can work soley on their own with serving, bartending, phone and can maintain the restaurant to give the best service possible.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems, including Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including proper food handling and food safety procedures
- Assist with food preparation when necessary, ensuring adherence to sanitation guidelines
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing customer needs promptly and courteously
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations effectively through strong time management skills
- Ensure the bar area is stocked, organized, and clean at all times
- Follow all restaurant policies regarding sanitation, safety, and alcohol service regulations
Experience
- 5 Years min of Previous food service experience is REQUIRED , especially in busy restaurants
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is highly required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Experience with food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing purposes
- Knowledge of food industry operations including serving, upselling techniques, and kitchen procedures is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
