What is the opportunity?
The Director, IAM Business Analysis is a strategic leader responsible for driving excellence in business analysis (BA) practices across Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives. This role oversees a team of Business Analysts and Senior Managers, ensuring effective resource allocation, project oversight, and delivery of IAM solutions that align with organizational goals. The role is accountable for building the capabilities of the BA team by identifying, recruiting, and retaining talent, and by mentoring and coaching BAs across technical and professional capabilities. This role demands a blend of technical acumen, leadership vision, and cross-functional collaboration to advance IAM capabilities for CIAM (Customer) and PIAM (Physical) initiatives across the enterprise while elevating the maturity of BA and Agile practices.
What will you do?
As a BA Director, you will Lead, mentor, and grow a team of BAs and Senior Managers, fostering technical and professional excellence through coaching, talent acquisition, and retention strategies.
Collaborate closely with IAM partners such as IAM Strategy and Architecture to design, develop, and implement robust IAM controls, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and business objectives for CIAM and PIAM.
Understand IAM vision and roadmap to provide governance and resource management across all projects, ensuring efficient allocation and prioritization to meet program demands and support resource planning activities.
Participate in effort estimation at the project and program levels, forecast BA resource needs and manage BA resource allocation.
Strengthening the BA team’s expertise in IAM domains, including risk assessment, access governance, and technology integration, through targeted training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Champion and embed Agile principles within IAM initiatives, guiding teams in Agile or Iterative planning, product ownership, execution, and continuous improvement to enhance flexibility and delivery speed.
Drive performance management, support career development and reward strong performance by providing coaching and support to Business Analysts.
What do you need to succeed?
10+ years’ work experience with progressively increasing responsibilities in requirements management for large and complex projects with proven experience working as a BA Manager, in various delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative, and/or Agile.
Proven experience working as a BA, in various delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative, and/or Agile and experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation.
Advanced knowledge and proven experience in requirements elicitation and communication – conducting requirements walkthroughs; scope and change management; traceability; Backlog management. Identifies and respects diverse frames of reference.
Expert level of requirements analysis and documentation skills – Problem Opportunity Analysis, Scope Modelling, Business Process Mapping, Business Context Diagraming, High-level and Detailed Requirements, Use Cases & Scenarios, Business Rules & Data Catalogue, User Stories, Story. Decomposition, User Story Mapping, and non-functional requirements.
Extensive experience using MS Office tools, Confluence/Jira.
Working knowledge of IAM products such as Sailpoint, Idira (formerly CyberArk), Entra.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple small to large tasks and strong decision-making skills
Nice-to-have:
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
Project Management Institute –Professional in Business Analysis (PMI – PBA) Certification (Preferred).
Master’s Certificate in Business Analysis (Preferred)
