KNOWLEDGE WITH REACTIVE DOGS IS ASSET
- Feeding and making sure all dogs have water available.
- Cleaning the dog runs and facilities to the highest standard (no water left in any runs or walkway, bedding cleaned and dry, no urine or fecal matter left in runs, poo scooping the yards, cleaning the outside yard areas, spraying down poo scoops, taking out the garbage/recycling/poo buckets, sweeping and mopping, wiping down all surfaces of any dirt/dust)
- Pottying dogs and rotating them out into the play yards for outside time.
- Exceptional Client care including: checking dogs and owners in and out and phone calls.
- Updating and adding any notes to the database to the most current information as well as any pertinent changes that need to be made (feeding information, medication, behavioural notes etc.).
- Proper communication to other staff and employees about any behavioural, health or care changes that need to be made for any dogs in our system.
- Basic grooming of dogs on the property (Baths, brush outs and nail trims) Can train if needed
- Administering medication to dogs while they are at the kennel if needed.
- Records and places dog’s belongings in the correct lodging area.
- Washing dishes and cutlery.
- Work inside and outside all year round.
- Be able to handle small to giant-sized dogs for porting to and from kennel runs to the play yard and/or walks.
- Maintains needed equipment and let’s management know what needs to be ordered.
- Provides friendly interaction with clients and animals. Ensures client satisfaction.
- Sign off on any notices/alerts in the database for every shift.
Job Types: Part-time/ Full time ( ideally to become Full-time after 3-4 months)
Salary: Starting $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
