Job Summary:
We are looking for a PDI Representative (Pre-Delivery Inspection) experienced in new home post construction customer care services. The right candidate will perform a wide variety of duties such as daily administrative duties, coordinating and completing Pre PDI and Pre-Delivery Inspections, prepare and process weekly summary reports, manage the trades completions to meet client and homeowner needs and requirements. This individual should be a motivated self-starter looking to take their career to the next level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough Pre-PDIs and Pre-Delivery inspections on newly constructed homes before occupancy, ensuring all deficiencies are identified and repaired promptly.
- Maintain effective communication with homeowners, ensuring their satisfaction with their new home purchase.
- Manage the completion of deficiency repairs and warranty submissions through a comprehensive database system.
- Collaborate with the Construction department as well as Clients to set monthly client meeting agendas and prepare progress reports.
- Monitor and collaborate with trades staff to ensure timely completion and sign-off of warranty items.
- Adhere to legal, legislative, and corporate safety requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report and address deficiencies promptly, coordinating necessary services and maintenance to address homeowner concerns.
- Perform various administrative duties as needed to support the smooth operation of the department.
- Coordinate and communicate the progress and status of all projects, as well as any trade intervention requirements.
- Manage the email inbox and promptly respond to inquiries from homeowners via telephone, email, and fax.
- Generate and provide certificates of completion and possession for all new home buyers.
- Distribute keys and gifts to new home buyers to enhance their experience.
- Provide backup support to all other Customer Care team members when required.
- Fulfill any other duties as requested by the supervisor or management.
Qualifications:
- A degree, diploma, or certificate in construction management, business, or a related field
- 1 or more years of experience in a customer service or project management role; (experience in the construction industry an asset)
- Experience working in and knowledgeable of construction and trade industries
- Must be familiar and knowledgeable with Tarion Warranty and Construction Guidelines
- Knowledgeable of the Tarion Construction Performance Guidelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other applications
- Experience with conducting Pre-Delivery Inspections asset
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's G license and access to a vehicle an asset
