We are currently seeking a Full-Time Farm Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be a skilled, dependable mechanic who takes pride in maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure our operation runs safely and efficiently. Hours of Work
In Season:
Monday to Friday: 6 AM - 3 PM
Saturday: 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM as needed
Off Season
Monday to Friday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Flexible scheduling available.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair a wide range of agricultural and turf equipment, trucks and cars.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, steering and brake issues
- Operate oxy-acetylene welding and cutting equipment
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as required
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment while adhering to all applicable safety regulations and procedures.
- Responsible for ordering repair parts as needed and handing in appropriate paperwork to front office for billing.
Qualifications
- 5 years minimum experience repairing agricultural, construction or heavy equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to weld and use oxy-acetylene cutting equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience servicing hydraulic, electrical, steering and brake systems on Agricultural and Heavy Equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Valid drivers licence required
- AZ Licence is considered an asset
- 421A, 425A, 310T or 310S and asset but not required.
