Reporting to the Clinical Co-ordinator, Senior Cook, or designate, prepares and serves meals including special diets. Works with residents in developing meal preparation, cooking and kitchen organization skills, according to the rehabilitation plan. Performs routine cleaning duties; receives supplies; and monitors equipment.Travel may be a requirement of this positon. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirement of the Vancouver Island Health Authority in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle.
Grade 12, certification as a Cook with the Industry Training and Apprenticeship Commission plus six (6) months recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Food Safe 1 & Food Safe 2.Certification in CPR, First Aid.Completes Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum and Code White Training within three (3) months of employment..
