Work Arrangement: This position currently operates under a hybrid work model. As Inn From the Cold transitions into its new facility at 17046 Yonge Street, Newmarket, this position will transition to an onsite role. Occasional evening or weekend attendance is required.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Senior Manager, Finance & Administration provides both strategic and operational leadership for the organization's finance and administrative functions. The successful candidate serves as the primary financial advisor to the Executive Director, Board Treasurer, Finance & Audit Committee, and Board of Directors while maintaining hands-on involvement in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, audits, funder compliance, and day-to-day finance operations.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, this position will regularly participate in and support the work of the Finance & Audit Committee, providing financial analysis, reporting, recommendations, and strategic insight to support effective governance and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term financial planning.
· Prepare and present financial reports to the Executive Director, Board Treasurer, Finance & Audit Committee, and Board of Directors.
· Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
· Ensure compliance with funding agreements, accounting standards, CRA requirements, and regulatory obligations.
· Provide direct leadership and support to the Financial Analyst and Accounting Clerk.
· Participate directly in month-end, year-end, audit preparation, and funder reporting activities.
· Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable operations and provide strategic oversight of payroll administration
· Maintain strong internal controls, risk management practices, and financial policies.
· Support grant applications, funding proposals, and organizational growth initiatives.
