Job Description

Operate and maintain woodworking machinery
-
Interpret and execute work from technical drawings, cut sheets, and production plans

Ensure accurate cutting, sizing, and quality control of wood components
-
Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure safety protocols are followed
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
-
Collaborate with the production team to meet timelines and quality standards
-
Support other shop operations as needed
Qualifications
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this Shop Technician role would likely possess the following qualifications:

Experience: Minimum 1 years of cabinetry, millwork, or carpentry experience

Machinery Knowledge: Proficiency with woodworking machines such as beam saw, edge banders and hand/power tools

Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cut sheets

Maintenance: Familiarity with daily maintenance and troubleshooting of woodworking equipment
-
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform tasks involving standing, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
-
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, math skills and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions

Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn internal systems

Asset: Forklift Certification

Compensation & Benefits

Full-time, Monday through Friday Shift 10:00 am – 6:30 pm

Hourly pay with occasional overtime opportunities

Paid vacation, holidays, and sick days

Benefits after 3 months: Dental, health spending account and extended health care

Pay: $22 - 25 per hour
