Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. This role involves applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces in residential, commercial, industrial, and restoration projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with construction painting, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Strong communication skills and excellent time management are essential to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and masking to ensure proper adhesion of paint or coatings
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or other tools
- Perform restoration work including surface repairs and preparation for painting
- Utilize rigging techniques for high or hard-to-reach areas safely and effectively
- Operate hand tools and power tools such as drills, sanders, and sprayers with skill and safety awareness
- Manage project timelines efficiently through effective time management practices
- Communicate with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met and customer satisfaction is achieved
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste properly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting
- Knowledge of construction methods including carpentry, rigging, and use of hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with restoration processes and surface preparation techniques
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently
- Ability to work at heights using rigging techniques safely when required
- Experience with caulking for sealing surfaces is preferred
- Knowledge of schematics related to industrial or commercial projects is a plus
