Job Summary
McRina Laboratories is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will join laboratory operations team and will be assigned various analytical testing, ensuring the smooth functioning of laboratory processes. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of quality and safety within the laboratory environment. This position is for weekend shift (Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday).
Duties
- Operate and maintain all necessary instruments and equipment to complete tasks;
- Responsible for the calibration, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of basic lab instruments;
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), perform sample preparation and procedure prior to analyses, testing procedures, and identify any non-routine samples and seek guidance on procedures for handling;
- Meet quality and TAT specifications required by the client and ensure samples are analyzed within holding time requirements;
- Ensure that all laboratory safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Clean and sterilize laboratory instruments and workspaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Clean glassware and laboratory equipment, keeps work area clean, neat and organized;
- All other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Diploma or higher education in related field;
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in analytical testing lab;
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred, with familiarity in natural health products, pharmaceuticals or cannabis testing.
- Knowledge of chemical terminology is required.
- Ability to perform analytical testing procedures safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Good English communication skills required (auditory, verbal, written, and reading);
- Ability to handle pressure from high sample volumes and competing turnaround times;
- Work independently and as part of a team; Strong work ethic and willingness to take on varied tasks as required.

Pay: $18.00-$27.86 per hour
