Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Sheet Metal Worker Apprentice to join our construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the sheet metal and HVAC trade. The apprentice will work under the supervision of experienced journeymen, learning the skills needed to fabricate, install, and maintain sheet metal systems on active construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal ductwork and components
- Learn to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Measure, cut, and install sheet metal using hand and power tools
- Support journeymen and foremen with daily job site tasks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company and safety guidelines
Requirements
- Strong desire to learn the sheet metal construction trade
- Basic knowledge of hand tools (training provided)
- Ability to work in construction environments (heights, tight spaces, varying weather)
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- High school diploma or GED
- Class 5 license
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$40.00 per hour
