Position: Concrete Finisher
Location: Timmins, ON
Summary:
DSR Contracting Inc. is currently seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for placing, finishing, and repairing concrete for various construction projects. This is a full-time, permanent position offering competitive compensation and opportunities for growth within our organization.
Responsibilities:
Perform concrete placing, finishing, and repair work, including slabs, pads, sidewalks, curbs, foundations, and other concrete structures.
Set up, place, level, and finish concrete to meet project specifications and quality standards.
Use hand and power tools such as trowels, screeds, floats, edgers, grinders, and concrete saws.
Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and layout requirements related to concrete work.
Prepare work areas, including setting forms, placing reinforcement, and ensuring proper grades and elevations.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety standards and regulations.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role.
Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, curing, and repair methods.
Proficient in using hand and power tools commonly used in concrete work.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce a quality finish.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Valid driver’s licence is considered an asset.
Working from Heights certification is considered an asset.
WHMIS and MOL 4 Step certification are considered an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
