Overview
Augury Healthcare is seeking experienced Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists to join our growing agency network in the Metro Vancouver area. This flexible casual opportunity is ideal for dental professionals looking for supplemental income, flexible scheduling, and the ability to work across multiple dental clinics.
As part of our agency team, you will provide high-quality patient care while supporting dental teams in a variety of clinical environments, including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry.
Compensation
Dental Assistant: $38.00–$40.50/hour
Dental Hygienist: $72.00–$78.00/hour
Responsibilities:
Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide chairside assistance during general and pediatric dental procedures.
- Support dentists using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure proper sterilization and infection control procedures.
- Maintain patient comfort and assist with patient flow.
- Take and document patient information, including vital signs and medical history.
- Support dental imaging procedures as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, confidentiality, and patient safety standards.
Dental Hygienist Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services according to professional standards.
- Perform patient assessments, oral health education, and preventative care.
- Complete dental cleanings, documentation, and treatment notes.
- Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain infection control standards and a safe clinical environment.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental teams to support exceptional patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Dental Assistant or Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting.
- Current certification, registration, or licensing required for your profession in British Columbia.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and infection control protocols.
- Experience with dental EMR systems (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar) is preferred.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different dental clinic environments.
