Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight and goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing both driving and equipment operation skills to support our company's transportation needs.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to deliver freight across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Safely load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
- Assist with freight handling, including securing loads and managing inventory during loading and unloading processes
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle safety and functionality
- Follow all safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, and managing freight logistics preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during deliveries
- Physical capability to lift, move, or secure freight as required
- Prior experience in commercial driving or related fields is advantageous
