Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. Established in Laval for over 38 years our family centered practice has thousands of loyal clients.The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a smooth and efficient dental office environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a patient-focused setting, utilizing your skills to improve oral health and enhance patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning and polishing teeth to remove plaque and calculus buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including orthodontic treatments and other specialized services
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Ensure a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment in compliance with infection control protocols
- Manage patient scheduling, handle patient inquiries, and deliver excellent customer service
- Support pediatric patients with gentle care and effective communication tailored to their needs
- Assist with administrative tasks such as updating medical histories and verifying insurance information
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in Quebec
- Experience with dental office management software preferred
- Knowledge of, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with our multilingual and diverse patient population.
- Prior experience in a dental office setting is highly desirable but not obligatory
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
