Melo LLP is currently seeking a highly skilled Manager to join our reputable public accounting practice. This is a fully remote position. The ideal professional will bring strong leadership capabilities, deep knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and a proven ability to manage and cultivate client relationships within the public accounting sector.
What you will do:
Lead and manage a portfolio of audit, tax, and advisory engagements.
Plan engagements, including scope, resourcing, and budgeting.
Provide technical guidance on complex accounting, auditing, and tax matters.
Mentor, coach, and develop managers, seniors, and junior team members.
Conduct performance reviews and support staff development.
Ensure adherence to professional standards, internal policies, and risk management processes.
Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
Assist partners with strategic planning and client relationship management.
Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and related deliverables.
What they are looking for:
CPA designation required.
5+ years of public accounting experience with progressive leadership.
Strong technical knowledge of ASPE, IFRS, and Canadian auditing standards.
Demonstrated experience managing teams and complex engagements.
Excellent communication, client service, and project management skills.
Strong business acumen with ability to contribute to firm growth.
Proficiency with accounting and audit software; strong MS Office skills.
