Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperatures and presented attractively
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Follow food safety protocols and sanitation procedures at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to guests or servers
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Assist with meal assembly during busy service periods
Experience
- Proven experience as a line cook in a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety standards
- Experience with meal preparation for large volumes preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent understanding of the food industry trends and customer service expectations
- 2-4 years experience working in a restaurant environment that emphasizes quality, consistency, and teamwork
