As a Shift Leader , you will be trained as a Barista and will deploy partners and delegate tasks to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing legendary customer service, connecting with customers, partners and the community. You will be responsible for modelling and acting in accordance with Soul Foods Group and Starbucks guiding principles, supervising the daily operations of the store, as well as ensuring the safety and security for the partners and customers.
Shift Leader main duties include:
- Lead by example, creating a genuine connection with customers with every coffee.
- Assist with leading day-to-day operations, calling the plays during the shift.
- Support the Store Manager with training and coaching in order to develop a successful and enthusiastic team of Starbucks Partners.
- Support the Store Manager in driving sales and profitability targets.
- Providing leadership for the team to ensure a world class customer experience.
- Support Store Manager in managing inventory and stock control for the store.
- Communicate to the team to ensure that everyone is aware of their daily duties.

- Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities and can identify root causes of problems and identifies appropriate action steps and measurements toward solutions.
- Understands the importance of meeting store goals.
- Understands the store financials, identifies trends and shares ideas to improve results.
- Inspires, motivates, and builds confidence in others, leveraging each Partner’s strengths.
- Must have the drive, passion and a natural energy to deliver a fabulous customer experience and consistent product every time.
- Strong supervisory experience.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Must be extremely responsible with integrity, honesty and punctuality.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Experience:
- Minimum high school educated.
- Prefer 1 -2 years of experience leading others.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Basic business, math and accounting skills.
