What you’ll do
This role combines data analytics, inventory operations, and financial alignment to support enterprise inventory accuracy. Reporting to the Manager, Inventory Control, the Inventory Process Lead serves as a key bridge between Operations, Reporting, and Accounting, leveraging strong system knowledge and analytical capabilities to deliver insights, support critical reporting, and investigate inventory-related issues. This role plays an important part in driving inventory integrity, supporting audit readiness, and enabling cross-banner alignment through data-driven analysis and system expertise.
Reporting & Data
Develop and maintain SQL-based reporting and data extraction across all business units (CTR, FGL, Mark’s, SportChek)
Build and maintain datasets and support database creation for operational monitoring and analysis
Analyze trends, identify discrepancies, and provide insights to support business decision-making
Inventory Programs & Administration
Support execution of ~600+ store counts across banners
Manage relationship with third party count contract, including tracking and monitoring count budgets, invoice validation, contract/rate verification and accrual calculations
Support the RYICC (Rolling Year Inventory Cycle Count) program, including count accuracy and coverage tracking, and regular report preparation to the VP of Accounting and Operations
Monitor count performance and investigate discrepancies to support inventory accuracy
Systems, Projects & Investigations
Support system implementations and enhancements, including UAT, data validation, and reconciliation
Provide data support for cross-functional inventory projects
Respond to inventory inquiries across systems (AOM, IMS, PMM)
Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes, partnering with Accounting, IT and Operations to resolve
Participate or lead a variety of ad hoc projects as assigned by the Manager
What you bring
University degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset and attention to detail
Advanced experience with SQL, data extraction, and large dataset analysis
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, data modeling)
Experience working with inventory and warehouse systems (e.g., DCCS, IMS, PMM, WMOS)
Ability to translate data into actionable insights for both Operations and Accounting stakeholders
Strong problem-solving, investigation, and critical thinking skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Finance, Operations, and IT

Broadband Salary Rang e: 53,000.00 - 88,000.00 CAD Annual
Our typical hiring range is between 65,000.00 - 85,000.00 CAD per annum. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements
