The Position
The House Person is responsible for cleaning the main hotel areas, replenishing amenities, and delivering an excellent guest experience. The House Person will also be required to manage guest requests.
Reports to:Executive Housekeeper
The Job
· Clean lobby, corridors, main hotel areas, washrooms etc. time to time.
· Vacuum corridors and public spaces.
· Replenish bed linen, towels and guest amenities on all floors according to the room categories for room Attendants and conduct monthly inventories for supplies, linen etc.
· Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks, carpet shampooing etc.
· Maintain trolleys, carts vacuum, machineries etc. on a daily basis.
· Report any missing or damaged items to the Housekeeping Supervisor and own the responsibility to ensure that the items are replaced or repaired so to create an uninterrupted or impaired stay for the guest.
· Ensure that all equipment inside and around guest rooms as well as in work areas and used when performing housekeeping responsibilities is in working condition.
· Be environmentally aware and dispose of waste accordingly.
· Manage guest requests in a timely and efficient manner.
· Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
· Carry out lost property procedures and take initiate in distributing unclaimed lost and found after the time required to keep for each item.
· Prepare items to be given for soap for hope and assist with that.
· Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
· Collect soiled linen from guest rooms, public areas, and staff rooms and deliver it to the laundry room for cleaning.
· Receive deliveries from the receiving area, ensure supplies are stored in their designated locations in the appropriate storage areas.
· Notify the Housekeeping Manager of any items that need to be reordered to maintain sufficient stock levels.
· Collect all used glasses for washing and place back in housekeeping closets after washing in dishwasher.
· Wash dirty rags end of the day.
· Other duties as assigned to support operational needs and team objectives.
Job Requirements
· Some cleaning experience is preferred.
· Must be reliable and punctual and have a positive attitude.
· Must have excellent time-management skills.
· Must be committed to high cleanliness standards.
· Adaptable to the demands of the day while maintaining company standards.
· Must have flexible availability, including weekends.
· Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies weighing up to 40 lbs is required.
· Attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning protocols.
Pay: $23.59 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
