As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking a dependable and safety-focused General Construction Labourer with valid Intermediate First Aid (OFA Level 2) certification to join our site team.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the General Construction Labourer will support the day-to-day operations of an active wood-frame construction site. The successful candidate will assist trades, maintain site safety and organization, and serve as the designated OFA Level 2 First Aid Attendant when required.

Key ResponsibilitiesConstruction & Site Operations
- Assist site supervision, carpenters, and subcontractors with daily construction activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized construction site.
- Perform material handling, loading, unloading, and distribution of construction materials.
- Assist with framing, blocking, site protection, hoarding, and temporary works.
- Install and maintain site signage, barriers, and safety protection systems.
- Support concrete, framing, envelope, and finishing trades as required.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with site setup, mobilization, and project closeout activities.
- Manage waste removal and recycling programs.
- Conduct routine site inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Assist with deliveries, inventory management, and material storage.
First Aid & Safety Responsibilities
- Act as the designated OFA Level 2 First Aid Attendant on site.
- Respond promptly to workplace injuries and medical incidents.
- Maintain accurate first aid treatment records and incident reports.
- Ensure first aid equipment and supplies remain fully stocked and compliant.
- Participate in site safety meetings, toolbox talks, and emergency response planning.
- Promote and uphold CMP Construction’s safety standards and procedures.
- Support site management in maintaining compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations.
QualificationsRequired
- Valid Intermediate First Aid (OFA Level 2) Certification.
- Previous experience working on construction sites.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Preferred
- Experience on wood-frame multifamily residential projects.
- Fall Protection Certification.
- WHMIS Certification.
- Telehandler experience.
- Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) certification.
- Experience working around active framing crews and subcontractors.
- Basic understanding of construction drawings and site layouts.
