Community Living Association for South Simcoe (CLASS) is currently seeking a Casual Trainer who will provide education and training to staff related to the healthcare and medical-related support required for the people we support with a key focus on medication administration. Licensed RN and RPN incumbents will also provide Delegated Acts and best practices training. Policy and procedure work may be required as needed.
The Trainer has a thorough knowledge and understanding of protocol, procedures and standards within the area of nursing expertise.
Position Requirements:
- Knowledge of Delegated Acts, best practices and a wide array of medical practices and conditions;
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in nursing (RN or RPN) and current regulatory licensing in good standing (for Delegated Acts and best practices);
- At least two years in the nursing practice in addition to demonstrated experience in a training capacity;
- Demonstrated ability to develop, plan and provide training sessions to a variety of audiences, using multiple delivery mechanisms;
- Strong knowledge of and experience using digital communications effectively, including virtual meeting programs (Zoom, Teams, etc.), laptop and AV equipment;
- Strong working knowledge of various computer programs including MS Office;
- Ability to quickly establish personal credibility and trusting/effective relationships with internal colleagues, external customers, community members and people we support;
- Ability to prioritize projects and requests and juggle competing priorities in order to meet required timelines;
- Highly effective organizational and time management skills;
- G Driver’s license is required and use of own vehicle is a condition of employment; travel is mandatory when virtual training sessions are not preferred or possible.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Office and home office/virtual environment
- Travel throughout Simcoe County and surrounding areas
- Works flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as required

- Attends and maintains mandatory training certifications
