Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with sheet metal, along with experience in various related trades. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including building systems, restoration, and installation tasks. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction techniques, with a focus on precision and safety.
Duties
- Fabricate, install, and repair sheet metal components for commercial and residential projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and installation
- Use hand tools such as snips, hammers, drills, and wrenches to shape and assemble sheet metal parts
- Perform caulking, sealing, and insulation work to ensure energy efficiency and weatherproofing
- Assist with construction painting, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and other related trades as needed
- Conduct restoration work on existing structures by replacing or repairing damaged sheet metal components
- Follow safety protocols during all phases of work to maintain a safe working environment
Experience
- Proven experience working with sheet metal fabrication and installation in construction or restoration settings
- Familiarity with hand tools, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Knowledge of construction techniques including carpentry, caulking, welding, plumbing, flooring installation, and tile laying is preferred
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately
- Experience in construction painting or restoration projects is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to various project requirements
This position requires a dedicated professional capable of delivering high-quality craftsmanship while maintaining safety standards. Prior experience in related trades such as carpentry or plumbing will be considered an asset.

Pay: $26.00-$50.00 per hour
