The Ontario Association of Architects (“OAA”) is a self-regulating, not-for-profit organization that is governed by the Architects Act, a statute of the Government of Ontario. Its principal object is to regulate the practice of architecture.
Reporting to the Continuing Education Lead, the Administrative Assistant, Continuing Education (“ConEd”), plans, coordinates, executes, and expands the Continuing Education webinar program. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for coordinating the production and moderation of continuing education webinars, sourcing appropriate webinar presenters, and providing administrative and program support for the Continuing Education department.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a calendar of webinars for OAA’s Continuing Education Program
- Identify, vet, and recruit Subject Matter Experts and webinar topics
- Coordinate contract administration for webinars, and ConEd deliverables
- Work with Subject Matter Experts to develop webinar descriptions
- Coordinate scheduling and deliverables with webinar presenters
- Moderate webinar rehearsals and live webinars weekly
- Update webinar guidelines and protocols for conducting webinars, developing and following best practices
- Assist members and non-members with webinar registration
- Develop Media (LinkedIn) posts and events, with a focus on promoting webinars
- Verify webinar attendance records and ensure accurate inclusion in members' transcripts
- Administer and distribute surveys, presentation slide decks for each webinar
Qualifications
- A diploma/degree is preferred
- Experience coordinating webinars is preferred
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills; able to present information in webinars
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a good work ethic
- Good computer skills with knowledge of MS Office (Word & Excel), Zoom and Teams
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Reliable and dependable
Compensation
- This is a 20-month contract position
- $55,000 per year
- Hybrid work model, three onsite days per week for the first six months, transitioning to two onsite days per week thereafter
