Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Legal Assistant to support legal, office and administrative functions. This role includes contributing to projects, being outcome oriented, showing initiative, attention to detail, and independent work in a remote environment as a core member of the firm team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lawyers with document preparation, document management, research, and project management.
- Support office and administration functions with scheduling, filing, invoicing, and travel arrangements.
- Follow firm policies and processes.
- Support marketing on social media, website updates, and business development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, paralegal diploma, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in law or consulting administrative roles.
- Advanced remote work proficiency with Apple, Microsoft 365 (including Teams, Outlook, OneDrive), and legal software (Clio preferred).
- Strong organizational, time management, professional oral and written communication, and client-focused problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience with Indigenous governance, Northern or Indigenous communities is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $54,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
