Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on supervisor with 1–2+ years of experience in 3PL or freight forwarding environments, particularly focused on loading containers and air shipments for international export.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team responsible for the safe loading of 20 ft and 40 ft ocean containers within a warehouse setting
- Lead a team responsible for the safe preparation of palletized air shipments within a warehouse setting
- Develop and maintain the weekly schedule for container pick-ups and drop-offs with transport providers
- Evaluate incoming loading requests from both the internal freight forwarding department and external customers, making scheduling and priority decisions
- Ensure shipment documentation is properly prepared and secured with highway, rail, and intermodal carriers
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of supervisory experience overseeing loading operations within a 3PL or freight forwarding environment
- forklift licence
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with administrative and computer proficiency
- Exceptional communication abilities and a proactive approach to customer service
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively across departments
- Positive, detail-oriented, and confident in a fast-paced logistics setting
- BONUS – if candidate has ecommerce fulfillment experience
